HEAD MAN HEADS TO AUSTRALIA
"He didn't invent the brain - he invented the instructions."
John Husbands, Institute of Management on Tony Buzan

This February, in a world first event, Tony Buzan, global leader in learning and the brain, adviser to governments, business and learning institutions, is coming to Australia to present his new seminar - Age Proof Your Brain. Held in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, the full day Age Proof Your Brain conferences come as the issue of Australia's ageing workforce intensifies.

A recent report from the Queensland Department of Employment & Industrial Relations stated that within seven years, 85% of Australian labour market growth will come from the over 45s market.

According to Jennifer Goddard, Director and Master Trainer at the Buzan Centre, (dubbed Australia's Memory Maven by Anthill magazine) the conferences address one of the most serious issues facing our workforce. "As an ageing workforce becomes Australia's reality, it is essential that new cognitive skills are learnt and practiced to maximise the resources of mature workers. The good news is we can arrest avoidable cognitive decline" Goddard said.

Working in conjunction with the Buzan Centre in Australia, Tony Buzan has developed the Age Proof Your Brain conference to give Australian workers and employers the tools to meet the new challenges of the changing employment landscape. The conference will guide participants through four stages to a perceptibly sharper mind.

According to Buzan, as the market shifts, the days of hiring youth over experience are done. Now, only employers who harness the cognitive skills of the ageing worker will thrive.

"Getting the most out of an aging brain is both essential and achievable. The power of the ageing brain can be not only maintained but enhanced with the right training" Buzan said.

Conference dates are; Melbourne - 21 February; Sydney - 15 February; Brisbane - 19 February. Places are strictly limited. Book now at ageproofyourbrain.com or for more information, contact Jennifer Goddard on +61 (0)3 9572 5344.
